Bird of Prey Experience
This is our most popular experience and is perfect for family and friends to get hands-on.
​
Guests will be given the chance to fly 4 species of birds of prey, children will fly owls and hawks, whilst adults will also have the chance to fly an eagle!
​
You will be met in the Rothiemurchus fishery and falconry
car park by one of our experienced falconers where you will be guided on a short walk into the Falconry Centre to begin your experience.
After your Bird of Prey Experience, you will have the chance to meet our very special, resident livestock guardian dogs and flock of sheep who play an important role in our Livestock Guardian conservation project.

Cameras at the ready as you will be getting up close and personal to these magnificent creatures!

This experience lasts up to 2 hours.

Ultimate Highland Heritage Experience
Simulated Game Shooting, Falconry, Lunch and Whiskey!

Discover the very best of the Highlands with our signature full-day experience, with tradition, heritage, and exceptional hospitality.
Your day begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to our experienced team. You will then be chauffeured in our 4x4 to the first destination: our historic grouse butts set along the hillside. Here, you’ll learn about the heritage of the estate and enjoy the thrill of simulated grouse shooting with high-flying clays. You will shoot at two distinct locations on the hill, each offering a unique challenge, accompanied throughout by your own dedicated shooting instructor.
Following the morning’s activities, relax and unwind with a delicious lunch and a glass of champagne served in our traditional Highland steading.
After lunch, we return to the hill for an unforgettable falconry experience. You and your guest will have the opportunity to fly a selection of magnificent birds of prey—from nimble falcons to impressive eagles—set against some of the most spectacular Highland scenery.
To conclude this extraordinary day, we return to the steading for a guided tasting of exceptional local whiskies.

Private Bird of Prey Experience
​Private experiences can be booked for those wishing to have the centre and their experience completely exclusive.
​
On this experience you will have a guided tour of the centre and a chance to meet some of our other animals, including our resident livestock guardian dogs.
You will have the opportunity to fly 5 birds of prey, ranging from owls, hawks and eagles and flights will only be shared amongst your private group.

Private Falconry Experience On The Hill
Including lunch, whiskey tasting and a glass of champagne.
Guests will be greeted by a member of our falconry team and driven to the hill where our falconers tent awaits.
With breathtaking views of the Cairngorm mountain range, guests will partake in an unforgettable flying encounter on the hill.
A magnificent range of birds of prey will be flown to guests gauntlets including an eagle.

Followed by a delectable al fresco lunch and a complimentary glass of champagne.
To finish off you will be offered "a wee dram" and have a taste of a selection of complimentary local whiskies.

The Art Of Falconry Experience 2026
This experience runs from September-January and takes a deep dive into the ancient art of falconry and aims to give you an unforgettable experience.
We offer this exclusive falconry hunting experience in the highlands of Scotland, designed for anyone interested in witnessing the true spectacle of falconry.

You will be flying falcons at their natural quarry.
The style of flight we will be witnessing is the traditional "waiting on" flight. This involves using our English Setter "Steve", to locate the quarry. Once located he will go on point, letting us know the quarry is right in front of his nose. You will release the falcon from your gauntlet and then wait in anticipation as the falcon climbs into the sky right above your head. Once the falcon is high enough and in the right position we will then flush the quarry. The Falcon will then go into the stoop hitting speeds up to 200mph right in front of us! If the falcon is quick and skilled enough, then the quarry may be taken but it is all about seeing that spectacular flight and stoop rather than just catching quarry.
On a full day we will also head out with our hawks. The hawks will fly from your gauntlet and from trees directly at flushed quarry. Hawks fly differently to the falcons though they are not as fast they can still be great fun and very interactive.
